Man Accused of Taking Piping From Vacant Home
He is due in court on Feb. 5, police said.
Troy Connor Burgess, 19, of 73 Talcott Ave., has been charged with first-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal mischief, according to a police report.
Police received a call from a Lawrence Street resident on Thursday night about suspicious activity at a vacant house nearby, according to an arrest report. Upon arrival, officers noticed that the house had been entered and that copper piping was missing, according to a report.
Police were able to trace the incident to Burgess and arrested him at his home at 10:34 p.m. He appeared in court on Friday, had his initial #20,000 bond reduced to $5,000, and was given a return date of Feb. 5, police said.
