Medical Emergency Places VCMS in 'Stay Put' Mode
A medical emergency was resolved in 20 minutes at Vernon Center Middle School on Tuesday.

VERNON, CT — A medical emergency at Vernon Center Middle School put students into "stay put" mode on Wednesday morning, the principal said.
In a memo to parents sent at 11:46 a.m., VCMS Principal James Harrison said the medical issue involved a staff member. He was not specific about what the issue was but indicated the staffer is "doing well."
He said he placed the school in "stay put" mode, which meant all students and staff members had to "stay where they were in order to keep the hallways clear for medical personnel."
