Vehicle Catches Fire in Vernon

It took a while to clear the scene.

VERNON, CT — A car caught on Fire on Route 30 on Tuesday night, according to Tolland County 911.

The call came in at about 8 p.m., according to the dispatch service.

Firefighters went to the scene near the intersection of Route 30 and Tunnel Road and found the car fully involved, according to Tolland County 911.

The scene took about an hour to clear and the road was closed back to the Bolton Road traffic light.
