2. There is a TV show premiering this month on TBS called Sullivan & Sun, starring a former member of the Waterford High School choir, Valerie Azlynn.

Azlynn, 31, has had an active acting career, including spots in the movies Tropic Thunder and Bewitched and the television show Two and a Half Men, according to her Wikipedia page. She will play the character Melanie in Sullivan & Son.

3. I know, the holiday is over and it is back to work. It is back to work for the government as well, with all non-essential offices reopening today, including Waterford Town Hall.

4. New London County  home foreclosures were down in May, in comparison with April's numbers,  The Bulletin reports. 

However, May 2012's rates are higher than May 2011's rates, the article says. 

According to data from RealtyTrac Inc., New London County saw 77 home foreclosures this past May, which the article says is 45.28 percent more than May of the previous year. 

RealtyTrac Inc. reports a 15.38 percent decrease in New London County home foreclosures from April 2012 to May 2012, the article says.

5. On this date in 1996, Dolly the sheep became the first mammal cloned from an adult cell. And on this date in 1989, Oliver North was sentenced to a three-year suspended prison term for his role in the Iran-Contra Affair. North’s conviction would later be overturned.
