The American School for the Deaf’s (ASD) Robotics Team Competes in FIRST Tech Challenge

On February 16th, the American School for the Deaf’s Robotics team competed in the FIRST Tech Challenge Championship “Battle at the Beach” held at Greens Farms Academy in Westport, CT. Twenty-eight school teams competed in the challenge and were comprised of up to ten students who were responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots. This year's competition had opponents programming their robot to play Tic Tac Toe on a vertical field in a game they called "Ring It Up!"
Governor Dannel Malloy was present at the competition and offered the ASD team his support. The team won the Judge’s Award for safety and finished 13th in the competition.
