That’s a distinct possibility -- if the promise of sampling their delicious brews gets you to the next “Beer, Burgers & Managing Your Bucks” event on Wednesday, March 12 at MCC on Main in Manchester.
How so? The topic for the evening is “Tax-Saving Strategies for Young Professionals.” Ryan Tuttle, a financial advisor with Connecticut Wealth Management in Farmington, will have tax-saving tips specifically for 20- and 30-somethings. Even if your 2013 taxes are already done, Ryan will show you why now is the best time to get started on a smart tax strategy for 2014.
The evening begins at 5:15 with networking, sliders from Corey’s Catsup & Mustard and, of course, a beer tasting courtesy of March’s featured craft brewery, Top Shelf Brewing Company. Ryan’s presentation follows at 6 PM.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Ryan is Certified Financial Planner (CFP) licensee, a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). He has conducted workshops on financial planning for many continuing adult education programs and has presented to various other audiences, including the students of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and School of Dental Medicine.
Top Shelf Brewing Company is located in the historic Hilliard Mills complex on Hilliard Street. Visitors to the Hilliard Mill location receive free samples and can purchase growlers and 25-ounce bottles to go. Top Shelf opened its door last fall with three core offerings: American, Irish and Belgian ales. Since then, they’ve produced 15 different beers.
