Victim Identified in Fatal West Haven Fire
A man died in an early Monday morning apartment fire in West Haven: BREAKING

WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven Police have identified the victim of Monday’s fatal fire at a condominium complex as Robert Graziano, 44, of West Haven.
Graziano was a resident of the apartment at the Orange Landing condominium complex on Bull Hill Lane, according to police.
Both the West Haven police and fire departments responded to 153 Bull Hill Lane at about 4:30 a.m. on Monday the report of an apartment fire.

The fire was contained to one apartment where the victim was located and transported to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries, according to police.
The New Haven Register reports that a woman who lives at the same address had called 911 about an hour before the fire regarding a medical issue, which fire officials wouldn’t disclose due to privacy laws.

West Shore Fire Chief Stephen Scafariello told the Register the cause of the fire was “careless, disregarded smoking materials.”
