Bob and Cheryl Beatty snapped this picture of a bobcat walking along their driveway near the intersection of Route 108 and the Merritt Parkway Monday afternoon.

Bobcats live throughout Connecticut but are rarely seen, as they tend to stay away from humans.

"Bobcat attacks on people are virtually unknown," according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), though they have been known to attack domestic cats and other small animals.

Seen any bobcats or other unusual wildlife around? Let us know in the comments below and share your photos on our announcement board.
