Greenwich parent, Heather Benn, has an important reason to walk: her eight-year-old son Asher, who is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts and sesame. “Asher has lived his entire life living in a world of ‘no’ with simple everyday foods posing a daily threat of a sudden, severe allergic reaction. Our family is walking in the FARE Walk for Food Allergy because we want to help find a cure, so that Asher and millions of kids like him, can one day live in a world of ‘yes.’”
Participants can sign up to walk individually or as part of a team. For more information or to register or donate, visit www.foodallergywalk.org/fairfieldcounty2014 .
