Fed Ex Truck Catches Fire on I-95 in Westport
The incident caused a traffic headache Thursday morning. Westport and Fairfield firefighters helped put out the blaze.
A FedEx truck’s tire caught fire, which then spread to to storage container after an explosion. The incident caused a traffic headache Thursday morning on I-95 northbound.
The truck driver tried to put out the tire fire himself, but Westport and Fairfield firefighters responded once the fire spread, according to the Connecticut Post.
The incident was reported around 5:30 a.m. and firefighters stayed for an hour to make sure extension didn’t reach deeper into the trailer.
