Know Before You Go: Train Times Change May 11

Whether you're heading to the city for Mother's Day or anticipating Monday's commute, remember this change.

Know Before You Go: Train Times Change May 11

By Lanning Taliaferro

Another sign of spring—Metro North changes the train schedules. You can pick up a printed schedule at the station or in Grand Central. But if you need to know beforehand, here's the trip information form.

Here's their full press release, with details about their great apps to help you keep up on your phone:

MTA Metro-North Railroad reminds customers that new timetables are going into effect on Sunday, May 11 on the New Haven, Harlem and Hudson Lines. While the number of trains is not changing, customers should review the new timetables in case train departure times have changed from what they are used to.

Printed timetables are now being delivered to stations. The new train schedule information is also available online at  mta.info by selecting “schedules” then “Metro-North Railroad” then “East of Hudson”.  One can either select  a station-to-station trip through the interactive selection tool or view the complete timetables in PDF format by clicking on “All Train Schedules,” which links to this page:  http://web.mta.info/mnr/html/planning/schedules/schedules.htm.

Train times are available on the go via Metro-North’s new  Train Time™ app for iPhone or Android or through the Train Time  website, or through the  CooCoo text messaging service by texting your station of origin to 266266 (CooCoo).

Train schedules are also incorporated into the MTA’s  TripPlanner+ interactive trip planning feature, which also incorporates New York City Transit, LIRR and MTA Bus Company services to an itinerary if applicable.
