A Bridgeport woman who allegedly caused $7,500 worth of damage to a Canton police car while involved in a police pursuit was arrested in Westport, police said.
Westport police took the woman into custody on Dec. 31 after an officer learned of her arrest warrants following a traffic stop, according to a police report.
The warrant was for a violation of probation from the Canton Police Department, police said. As part of her probation, the woman was ordered to make restitution payments to the Town of Canton for the damages to the police car.
