The Literary Horse

Where/When: The Wilton Library/Saturday September 3rd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: If you haven’t had your fill of heading to the library to charge your cell phone or check email, then check out The Literary Horse – When Legends Come to Life Exhibition. This horse and rider photography exhibition is coupled with early 1920s literary quotations.

How Much: Free

 

Creative Kids - Greece

Where/When: Stepping Stones Museum in Norwalk/Saturday September 3rd from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Kids who attend this hour long event will learn about ancient Greece and even get to make a “gold” coin to take home.

How Much: Adults and children over a year old $14; seniors $10; members and children under a year old are free.

 

Drop-in Weekend: Family-Friendly Hands-on Activities

Where/When: The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield/Saturday September 3rd from noon to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Head over to the Education Center at the museum for self-guided hands-on projects appropriate for families and children of all ages.

How Much: Free with admission which is $7 for adults. Admission for children under 18 is free.

 

Ask Me! Docent Led Museum Tour

Where/When: The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum/Sunday September 4th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Let an expert lead you and your family through the museum for an hour long tour. Have lots of questions about the exhibitions and the museum? The docent will be on-hand to give you all the answers from 3 to 4 p.m.

How Much: Free with admission which is $7 for adults. Admission for children under 18 is free.

 

Squid Dissection

Where/When: The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk/Saturday September 3rd at 10:30 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Why Go: Kids that are nine years old and over who love marine biology and aren’t squeamish can participate in a squid dissection class to learn all about these mysterious creatures. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

How Much: $5 plus admission which is $12.95 for adults, $11.95 for seniors 65+ and $9.95 for children ages 2-12.
