Icy Roadways Take their Toll in Wilton

Icy Roadways Take their Toll in Wilton
On Sunday, Jan. 5 Brian McDermitt of 272 Rivergate Drive struck a utility pole with the back of his 2009 Ford Mustang in his driveway when he was unable to travel up an incline due to icy conditions.

According to Wilton Police, McDermitt had parked the vehicle and exited the vehicle as it began to slide backwards. He was struck by the open driver's door and fell down, striking his chin on the pavement. The vehicle then struck the utility pole.

McDermitt was taken by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital.
