Newtown Woman Arrested For DUI in Wilton


Katherine Boisvert, 34, of 4 Shamrock Lane, Newtown, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Sunday, Dec. 16, following a motor vehicle stop.

Wilton Police said an officer on patrol on Westport Road near Clover Drive observed Boisvert's vehicle swerving in its lane at about 11:46 p.m. After stopping the vehicle the officer noticed that the operator, Boisvert, was exhibiting signs of intoxication. Police said she was also found to be under the influence of prescription drugs.

Boisvert was also charged with driving under suspension, driving without insurance and failure to stay in proper lane. She was released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 31.


Wilton Police said a Passport brand radar detector and an iPod music player were reported stolen from motor vehicle parked at a residence on Grey Rocks Road on Monday, Dec. 17.

Police said the owner of the vehicle reported that someone had entered it and taken the items sometime during the overnight hours on Dec. 16. Police said the car had been left unlocked.

The Wilton Police Department reminds residents to always lock their cars and residences to prevent these type of crimes.


Wilton Police said a house on Whipstick Road was reported burglarized on Dec. 18.

A resident of the house reported that a rear glass door had been smashed with a large rock. The resident reported that someone had entered the home and gone through drawers — however nothing appeared to be missing.
