Driver Without License Also Found Wanted for Assault

Wilton Police news, Feb. 2 and Feb. 3.

Driver Without License Also Found Wanted for Assault

Romulo Jadan, 34, of Danbury was charged with driving without a license and traveling too fast for conditions following a motor vehicle stop on Danbury Road, near Old Mill Road, on Feb. 3 at 2:11 a.m.

According to police, Jadan was clocked driving 45 mph in a 40 mph zone on a snow-covered road. Upon investigation, it was determined Jadan was driving without a license.

Police then learned Jadan was wanted in Danbury for assault in the third degree and interfering with an officer in connection to an April 2011 incident. A warrant with a $5,000 bond was issued for that case. Jadan was also wanted for assault in the third degree for an October 2011 incident.

Wilton Police turned Jadan over to Danbury Police. He was issued an infraction summons for motor vehicle charges in Wilton with a Feb. 22 answer date.

Carl Oliver, 20, of Norwalk was charged with failure to keep right at a curve, possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Danbury Road, near Station Road.

According to police, officers observed Oliver crossing the center line at 1:42 a.m. on Feb. 2. Upon investigation, officers found Oliver to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

A 51-year-old Norwalk man was charged with assault in the third degree following a domestic incident at a Fawn Ridge Lane residence on Feb. 2 at 12:18 p.m.

Police said the matter was a “family issue,” and that since it involved a juvenile, no more information could be divulged.

The man was released on a promise to appear in court Feb. 4.
