Wilton Library Showcases 13 Artists in December

A baker's dozen of artists splash the walls with color at Wilton Library

A baker’s dozen of artists fill the walls of Wilton Library when “Together—A Collective Show from St. Philip Artists’ Guild” opens on Friday, Dec. 12, with a reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The exhibition is comprised of thirteen artists and features myriad styles, compositions, media including photography, and subject matter. The artists hail from the local area: Bruce Horan and Sergey Stepanenko – Darien; Amy Bilden – Greenwich; Sherry Becker, Melissa Chieffalo, Donna Davie, Ralph DiMarco, Tony Mobilia, David and Dollko Morico and Dolores Tema – Norwalk; Dorothy Robertshaw – Westport and Beverly Ward – Wilton. The group commonly known as SPAG shares studio space in the historic Manice Lockwood Mansion on the grounds of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Norwalk, CT. The focus of the group is to foster creative thinking and to support both its members and the arts community at large in pursuing its artistic goals.

The exhibition will include close to 70 pieces, the majority of which will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the library. The reception is open to the public. The exhibition runs through Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015. Wilton Library is located in the heart of Wilton Center at 137 Old Ridgefield Road. Library hours are Mondays through Thursdays, 10 – 8; Fridays, 10 – 6; Saturdays, 10 – 5 and Sundays, 1 – 5. The library will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as well as New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
