Wilton Man Charged with Drunk Driving, Resisting Arrest

Wilton Police made four drunk driving arrests last week.

Wilton Man Charged with Drunk Driving, Resisting Arrest

Nathaniel Shipp, 53, of Cheese Spring Road was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, passing on the right and interfering with a police officer following a motor vehicle stop on Danbury Road, near Ridgefield Road, on Feb. 16 at 2:47 a.m.

According to police, after Shipp was stopped for illegal passing, he failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody. Shipp tried to resist arrest and had to be restrained by three officers. Shipp had a blood alcohol content of .1155.

He was released on a promise to appear in court Feb. 28. 

Diana Neeves, 23, of Redding was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to stay in the proper lane following a one-car accident on Danbury Road, near the Ridgefield town line, on Feb. 15 at 1:21 a.m.

According to police, Neeves struck a guardrail and stonewall before coming to a rest in the middle of the road. She failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody, where she refused a breath test.

Neeves was released on a promise to appear in court Feb. 28.

Vanessa Berrios, 25, of Bridgeport was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to obey a traffic signal and violation of markings after a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 15 at 11:41 p.m. for crossing the double yellow line and not stopping at a flashing red light. The stop occurred on Westport Road, near Danbury Road.

Berrios failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody, where she refused a breath test. She was released on a promise to appear in court Feb. 26.

Kimberly Seitter, 45, of Stamford was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to keep right at a curve following a motor vehicle complaint called in by another motorist on Feb. 16 at 10 p.m.

According to police, the motorist complained Seitter crossed the yellow line and struck the guardrail in Ridgefield. Seitter was then located on Danbury Road, and officers observed her crossing the double yellow line.

Seitter failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody. She was released on a promise to appear at a future court date.
