Windsor Locks Police Investigating Overnight Burglary

Recent arrests and activity by the Windsor Locks Police Department, including charges of strangulation, assault and DUI.

The following information has been provided by the Windsor Locks Police Department and does not indicate convictions:

Burglary

Windsor Locks Police are investigating the overnight burglary of Casey’s Market, located at 496 Spring Street, on Jan. 25. Police say the suspect(s) smashed a storefront window, entered the store and stole various items.

Domestic Violence Arrests

Linda Schneeberger, of Center Street, was arrested Jan. 24 after allegedly trying to attack her husband with a wrench and damaged a door inside the home. Schneeberger was charged with disorderly conduct. She was held on a $2,500 bond and was due in court on Jan. 25.

Windsor Locks Police arrested two people in connection to a domestic assault on Grove Street on Jan. 15.

Police said investigation revealed that Christian Delacruz and girlfriend Priscilla Rodriguez became embroiled in an argument which escalated into both assaulting each other.

Delacruz was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault.

Rodriguez was charged with disorderly conduct.

Both were scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19.

DUI Arrest

A vehicle was stopped for violation on North Street on Jan. 21 and investigation concluded that operator was driving under the influence, according to police.

Yen Smith, 54, was arrested on charges of operating while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or both and failure to maintain proper lane.

Smith is due in court on Feb. 1.

Active Warrant Arrest

Brandon Duby, of North Main Street, was arrested Jan. 20 as a result of an active violation of probation warrant which had been issued for his arrest.

Police said Duby was taken into custody without incident and was held on a court-set bond of $25,000.

Duby was due in court on Jan. 21.
