Town Planner Brian Miller explained that in the aquifer protection overlay district, the subsurface waste discharge is limited to 600 gallons per acre, per day. A restaurant would far exceed that limit and that is why Devino is applying for a special permit, he said.

A public hearing on Devino's application will take place at the Tuesday, Nov. 13, Zoning Commission meeting at the Senior Community Center, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
