Update: 10:18 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2
Registration for this event is full, according to Carol Haskins of the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition. She said a waitlist will be created but does not guarantee that an open space becomes available.
"If there is enough interest, we will explore scheduling another tour date for later in the fall or sometime in the spring (depends on availability of the Quarry staff)," she said via e-mail.
A tour of O&G's rock quarry in Woodbury will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14.
The tour is presented by the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition and the Southbury Land Trust.
Participants are asked to meet in the lower parking lot Southbury Town Hall, 500 Main St. South, Southbury.
All ages may attend. The tour is free. Those who attend must wear sturdy shoes for walking.
Pre-registration is required. A maximum of 30 people may attend.
To register, contact Carol at 203-263-0076 or email@example.com. People are asked to leave a message with the number and names of people attending. Someone will call back to confirm the registration, according to a press release from the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition.
