Video: Woman Who Drove Minivan Full of Children into Atlantic Ocean Charged With Attempted Murder
Volusia County, Fla. – A woman who drove a minivan filled with three young children into the Atlantic Ocean has been charged with attempted murder, ABC News reported.

Ebony Wilkerson, 32, who is 27 weeks pregnant, was charged with three counts of attempted murder and child abuse charges on Thursday. Wilkerson told her children – ages 3, 9 and 10 –  to go to sleep and drove her Honda Odyssey into the ocean.

Several passerby rushed to the minivan and were able to pull the children to safety (Video of the rescue is attached to this post).

NBC News reported that Wilkerson told investigators she had "14 years of agony with her husband."

Wilkerson is from Myrtle Beach, S.C., and NBC reported that she had told police four day before the incident that she had been raped by her husband.

The day of the incident, Wilkerson's sister called 911 and said her sister was having a psychotic episode.
