It was another historic milestone for the Brandon High School wrestling team, which this weekend staked claim to the 2013 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 3A crown, the school's 24th state title and 13th state victory in a row.
At The Lakeland Center on Feb. 16, Kevin Norstrem ended his high school wrestling career with a fifth individual state title, a moment that he memorialized in the arms of legendary head coach Russ Cozart, whose hug was witnessed by the crowd that had risen to give the 138-pound wrestler a standing ovation, according to a TBO. com report.

Norstrem’s brother, Kyle, a freshman, won his second state individual title, with a 113-pound pin in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 3A contest. He, too, is on track to win five individual state titles, a feat accomplished last year, in their senior years, by Brandon wrestlers Bruno Rossi and Clark Glass.
