Mobile Home Fire In Seffner Kills 1 Person

SEFFNER, FL — One person died when fire swept through a mobile home on Black Dairy Road in Seffner Friday morning.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was called to the scene of a fire in the 6400 block of Black Dairy Road around 4:45am. Responding crews said they could see a large column of smoke from the scene several blocks away. They arrived within minutes of the call to find a fully engulfed single-wide mobile home.

Crews battled the flames with the use of multiple fire engines including tanker trucks to supply water. It took about 30 minutes to put out the fire.

One person died in the fire and another was taken to the hospital to be treated for burns.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
