Tanya Tucker Cancels Florida Strawberry Festival Show
The singer has been hospitalized, festival officials say. Read on to find out who is replacing her on stage.
PLANT CITY, FL — Tanya Tucker fans won’t get to catch the singer live on stage at the Florida Strawberry Festival this Friday, March 11.
Tucker has had to back out of her engagement, festival officials announced Thursday afternoon.
"Ms. Tucker has been admitted to the hospital due to complications from bronchitis," said Florida Strawberry Festival General Manager Paul Davis in a statement. "She hates to disappoint her fans but needs to focus on her health."

Apopka-native John Anderson has been confirmed as Tucker’s replacement. He’ll stand in at the 3:30 p.m. show on Friday. Anderson is best known for such songs as “Swingin’,” “Seminole Wind” and “Straight Tequila Night.”
"John Anderson has one of the most recognizable voices in country music and is a terrific entertainer," said Davis. "He is excited to play at our festival and will be a great addition to our lineup."

Fans with tickets for Tucker’s show may use them for Anderson’s or they can be refunded in full by 2:30 p.m. March 11, Davis said. Refund requests and questions should be directed to the ticket office located at 2209 W. Oak Ave. in Plant City. Tickets for Anderson’s show start at $15 and can be purchased at www.flstrawberryfestival.com, over the phone or at the Amscot Main Ticket Office.
