Fire Sweeps Through Carrollwood Home; No One Injured

TAMPA, FL -- No one was injured but a fire destroyed a Carrollwood home after breaking out during the early-morning hours on Friday, June 22.

According to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, the home in the 4000 block of Laver Court in Fairway Village was unoccupied when it caught fire. Firefighters responded at 2:12 a.m. to find flames sweeping throughout the house. It took about 30 minutes for firefighters to douse the flames.

The family that lives in the home was out of town. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
