Auto Repair Shop Fire Leaves Vehicles Damaged

Clearwater Fire & Rescue is investigating a Wednesday morning fire at an auto repair business on Hercules Avenue.

According to the agency, crews were called out to 1609 N. Hercules Ave. at 8:52 a.m. when a car on a lift reportedly caught fire. The flames spread to a few other vehicles, as well, an email to media stated.

It took crews about 10 minutes to bring the blaze under control, the agency noted.

No injuries were reported. It is estimated that two to three other vehicles at the garage were damaged as a result.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The name of the business is not readily available.
