5 Things: Swing Time, Toastmasters, First Florida Frontiers

Lots going on tonight in Gulfport! Swing dancing at the casino, meeting at city hall and toastmaster club at The Peninsula Inn. That and more in "5 Things to Know Today."

Swing Time: Join Swing Time at the beautiful Gulfport Casino Ballroom, for its weekly Swing Night dancing extravaganza. Enjoy a selection of classic swing, Big Band, and jazz tunes as you jump and jive all over the dance floor. Whether you're experienced or a novice, this event is open to all skill levels and ages. Admission is just $7 per person. Dance lessons begin at 6 p.m. with swing dancing at 8 p.m.

Board of Adjustment: The public is invited to attend the Board of Adjustment meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Gulfport City Hall. You can view the agenda on the City of Gulfport website.

Gulfport Toastmasters: Members of the Gulfport Toastmasters Club are celebrating tonight. The group recently received their official charter from Toastmasters International. The party begins at 6 p.m. at The Peninsula Inn & Spa. There will be a cash bar and people are encouraged to wear party attire. Fabrics of Change: You're invited to learn more about 16th Century Clothing with the Elizabeth Neily and the First Florida Frontiers! They will be at The Pioneer Barn at Fort Menendez in St. Augustine on Saturday, Oct. 27 and again in Bradenton on Saturday, November 3.
