City Commissioners meet tonight at 6 p.m. at for their regular scheduled work session.This is a public meeting.
The genealogy department has Immigration Records and Ship Passenger Lists class tonight from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Local History Room.
New to Redbox this week is Marvel Comics' Thor (2011). The film is about a powerful, but arrogant warrior Thor who is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard. The 2012 Celebrity Showcase Series tickets go on sale Oct. 1. The line-up includes Jack Berrios as Neil Diamond, The Ed Sullivan Show a tribute by Donna and Dunnie, and more. Season tickets for 2011-2012 shows goes on sale on Thursday, Sept. 15. This season marks the cultural center's 15th anniversary. They will feature more than 40 diverse artists with performances including theatre, dance, family-friendly shows, jazz, classical, pop and rock music.
