2-Alarm Fire Destroys Crystal Bar In Zephyrhills

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL -- Zephyrhills and Pasco County fire rescue say a large fire at the Crystal Bar and Package Store on 5707 Gall Blvd. in Zephyrhills is now under control, although the longtime family-owned business has been completely destroyed.

The two-alarm fire erupted Thursday morning. Firefighters arrived about 11:30 a.m. to find the structure fully involved with heavy smoke coming from the roof. It took two hours to get the flames under control because firefighters had to use a defensive mode to attack it due to the probability of the structure collapsing.

No injures were reported.

The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
