Firefighters Battle Car Fire In Miami-Dade

One person was taken to the hospital Friday as firefighters battled a car fire in northwest Miami-Dade County.

MIAMI, FL — One person was taken to the hospital Friday as firefighters battled a car fire in northwest Miami-Dade County.

A spokesperson for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. in a mobile home park near NW 76 St and 27 Ave.

"Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire so it did not spread to an adjacent mobile home," the spokesperson said. "No one was injured due to fire, however one person was transported to the hospital unrelated to the fire."

Sparks could be seen around the burning vehicle as firefighters used a cutting tool to search for hot spots, according to the agency.

The cause of the car fire remains under investigation.
