Man Celebrating Anniversary Rescued at Sea
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital.

FORT LAUDERDALE — First responders rescued a man celebrating his anniversary on a cruise ship Saturday night.
The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. aboard the Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Sea, which had departed Port Everglades earlier in the afternoon.
"Miami-Dade Fire boat 73 was called out to perform a medi-vac, which is a transport from the ship onto the fire boat at times using hoists," explained Erika Benitez of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. "The patient and his wife were on board the cruise celebrating their anniversary when unfortunately the medical condition surfaced, causing the medical staff on board to solicit the transport and care services from MDFR fire boat."
