Boat Bursts Into Flames Near Indian Creek Drive
Two people were on board the vessel at the time but no one was hurt.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — A boat burst into flames on Friday near Indian Creek Drive. Two people were on board the vessel at the time but no one was hurt. The incident occurred around 11 a.m.
Officer William Collado of the Miami Beach Police Department told Patch that the Miami Beach Marine Patrol and Miami Beach Fire Department both were called to the scene at the 5900 block of Indian Creek Drive.
"Personnel arrived to find the two occupants on the boat had jumped into the water and were assisted to safety," Collado said.

Traffic was diverted for a time from the 5800 block of Collins Avenue through the 6300 block as well as Indian Creek for approximately 90 minutes.
The fire remains under investigation.
