Two New Port Richey men were charged Friday, June 7 in connection to a Port Richey burglary.

On Monday, Christopher Orshal and Jeffrey Goldsnider, both 25, stealthily entered a home on Berlin Drive in Port Richey while they were supposed to be working on tree cutting, according to an arrest report from a Port Richey police officer.

They took two jewelry boxes, according to the report. The total contents were valued at $5,500. They also took $300 from a glass jar, according to the report.

The victim told the officer the list of stolen items included two jewelry boxes, cash, a silver pocket watch, three rings and two watches.

Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Goldsnider and Orshal Wednesday in connection to an unrelated incident. Information on that arrest is unavailable.

They found items inside their home at 4203 Comet Drive, New Port Richey, that matched the description of items taken from the Port Richey home.

Goldsnider and Orshal were each charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and grand theft in the Port Richey theft.
