Missing New Tampa Man's Body Found
The 67-year-old hadn't been seen since Saturday afternoon, but his car, wallet and cellphone were recovered.
TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department has located the body of Jerome Connley of New Tampa.
The 67-year-old went missing Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. Police said he left for the store from his Amberly Drive apartment and never returned home.
An active search for Connley was announced Sunday morning after Connley's car, cellphone and wallet were found by police. His body was located in a wooded area at New Tampa Nature Park, 17001 Dona Michelle Drive, later in the day.

Police made the announcement of the discovery at 7:42 p.m. Sunday, after Connley's family had been notified.
"No foul play is suspected," the agency wrote in an email to media.
