Sushi Tsu, a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine at 15363 Amberly Drive, will be relocating.
But when and where the restaurant will be moving hasn’t been determined yet.
A.J. Jewell, the restaurant’s manager, said no specific date on the closing of the current location has been decided, but it could be sometime around March 10. He also said a relocation site hasn’t been established. He declined to comment further.
Jewell and his wife bought Sushi Tsu in the Shoppes of Amberly more than three years ago from Jewell’s former boss and Sushi Tsu founder, Jay Choe, according to the Neighborhood News.
The menu features teppanyaki items, Japanese dishes, makimono, hibachi, combination platters, seafood platters and curry dishes. The sushi bar creates fresh rolls and sashimi and kids can choose from the children’s menu. The restaurant also hosts special events and offers promotions and daily specials.

Jewell was born in Japan, according to information listed in a Groupon deal for the restaurant that was available last August. His father was American and his mother was Japanese and a chef. When he moved to Tampa in the 1980s, Jewell followed in his mother’s cooking footsteps. He trained as a teppanyaki chef, apprenticed under master chefs and worked at Sushi Tsu for years before buying it.
