Watch: Florida Sorority's Bikini-Clad Video Raising Eyebrows

MIAMI, FL — The University of Miami’s Delta Gamma sorority is attracting plenty of eyeballs to its newly released recruitment video.

The professionally produced piece is set to original music provided by “The Voice” contestant Joselyn Rivera and features bikini-clad sorority girls partying it up on luxury yachts and beaches throughout the Miami area. With more than 1 million views since it was posted to YouTube by Artec Media on Jan. 6, the production is creating quite a buzz across the country.

Miami New Times called the video “the most insane one we’ve ever seen.” Chron.com says it’s the “most over-the-top recruitment video imaginable.” The sleek production even caught the attention of Elle magazine, which wanted to delve into the costs of putting together such a professional production.

It estimated the video to cost between $200,000 and $400,000 to create.

“Annual full-time tuition at the University of Miami reportedly hovers around the $50K mark, but look at what all that hard-earned cash will get your little Hurricane,” the magazine concluded.

While the video is drawing plenty of criticism, the sorority insists it isn’t all about fun and games. To that end, it also released a philanthropy video to show how its members do good in the community. That video, as of Sunday morning, had less than 7,500 views on YouTube since it was posted Dec. 18.

The University of Miami didn’t make the Playboy magazine top party school list in 2015, but Florida State came in third. Niche.com did give the Hurricanes its number 29 ranking on its 2016 Top Party Schools list.
