Woman Found Dead in Sarasota Target Parking Lot Identified

Sarasota, FL — The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a woman whose body was found inside a vehicle parked at the Cattlemen Road Target early Wednesday morning.

According to the agency, deputies received a call about the discovery around 1 a.m. When they arrived at the 101 N. Cattlemen Road store, they found Kristie L. Miranda, 31, of Englewood dead inside a vehicle.

“Based on witness accounts, preliminary investigation indicates the cause of death may be related to drug use,” the agency wrote in an email to media. “As always, the official cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office.”

No further information is being released at this time.
