1 Killed In Crash With Tractor-Trailer In Hillsborough County: Police

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A woman was killed Friday afternoon when the car she was driving collided with a tractor-trailer on a Hillsborough County highway.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 39-year-old woman from Wesley Chapel was driving north on U.S. Highway 301 near McIntosh Road when she crossed the center line into the path of a tractor-trailer driven by a 45-year-old Inverness man.

Police said the woman's car collided nearly head-on with the southbound truck. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

The crash remains under investigation.
