Fisher Phillips to brief employers on changes to employment verification form

HR managers, business owners to learn the how to file new Form I-9 at Jan. 18 seminar

TAMPA (Jan. 12, 2016) – After Jan. 21, all previous versions of Form I-9 will become invalid. To prepare for this significant change to the employment verification process, Fisher Phillips’ Global Immigration Practice Group is helping HR managers and business owners become familiar with the new version of Form I-9 at its upcoming breakfast briefing program.

The labor and employment law firm’s session, “Out with the Old, In with the New: What Employers Need to Know About the New Form I-9,” will lay out the upcoming changes, as well as what could happen if an employer fails to properly file the new form. Anyone with hiring responsibility can benefit from understanding the changes to Form I-9, as well as the cost of compliance errors and risks involved with incorrectly filing the form.

The program will be held Jan. 18 at The Tampa Club located at the Bank of America Plaza, 101 E. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 4200, in Tampa. Breakfast and networking begins at 7:30 a.m. and the presentation runs from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
