Missing Tampa Woman Found Dead; Sheriff Seeks Information

The search for Teneisha Griffith, 27, of Tampa came to a tragic end when her body was found in Lacoochee.

TAMPA, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is seeking information about the death of a woman who had been missing from Tampa since March 19.

Detectives discovered the body of Teneisha Griffith, 27, of Tampa, March 24 around 1:30 p.m. at Lacoochee Claysink Road and State Road 575 in the Lacoochee area of northeast Pasco County.

Griffith was originally reported missing to the Tampa Police Department by her family. Griffith, the mother of a 12-year-old daughter, was last heard from on March 19, and her car, a white 2008 Nissan Altima with Florida tag QSBE04, has not been found.

The sheriff's office did not reveal the manner of death.

Anyone with information on Griffith's whereabouts between March 19 and 24 or who may have seen the car should contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com.
