Body Found In Gandy Boulevard Retention Pond: St. Pete Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A body was found Monday in a retention pond near Gandy Boulevard and I-275, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

The St. Petersburg Fire Rescue Dive Team helped to recover the body.

The victim’s gender, race and age are unknown, police said. Investigators will rely on the medical examiner’s office for that information.

The investigation is ongoing.
