Driver Died After Medical Episode When Leaving Publix: St. Pete Police
A woman died after suffering a medical episode while driving out of a Publix parking lot Tuesday afternoon, St. Pete police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A driver died after suffering a medical episode Tuesday afternoon while leaving the Publix parking lot at 5295 34th Street S., according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
Just before 4 p.m., a pick-up truck driven by Jeanette Rubin was traveling north from the parking lot when she suffered her medical episode, the agency said.
This caused her to continue heading north and cross over 50th Avenue S. before entering the Bay Moorings Animal Hospital parking lot, where she hit an unoccupied parking vehicle, according to police.

She was brought to Bayfront Health, where she was later pronounced dead. Her family has been notified.
