A search is on for a missing 76-year-old Tampa woman who police say suffers from dementia.

Virga Black of Bank Drive was last seen around midnight April 16 at her home. She is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. Black has short salt-and-pepper hair and wears glasses that are red-framed. She was last seen wearing an orange baseball-style cap, a white T-shirt and possibly beige shorts, a Tampa Police Department media release said. She may have a heavy, brown-colored coat with her.

Police say Black called a family member around 8 a.m. today and said she was lost, sitting on a bus bench.

Anyone who has information about Black’s whereabouts is asked to call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130.
