Alpharetta Rolls Out City Bike Routes
The individual loops connect riders to surrounding areas, and routes range from 6 to 28 miles.

The city of Alpharetta, with input from Bike Alpharetta Inc., has introduced a network of bicycle lanes and routes that link the community with surrounding areas.

The routes provide easy connectivity to parks, schools, shopping areas and roadways with wide shoulders or bike lanes for safer travel, Bike Alpharetta said on its website.
These routes are marked on Share the Road signs with a designated color and number of miles, ranging from 6 to 28 miles.

Broken down:
- Loop 1 (purple): 16 miles
- Loop 2 (orange): 12 miles
- Loop 3 (yellow): 9 miles
- Loop 4 (light blue): 6 miles
- Outer loop (black): 28 miles

New way-finding signage was installed during the last few days to guide riders along the route of their choice.
