Alpharetta To Continue Budget Inspection
The Alpharetta City Council tonight will continue reviewing its proposed fiscal year 2015 budget during its meeting tonight.

The meeting will get underway at 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Alpharetta City Hall.

The proposed budget clocks in at $86.9 million. Broken down, the various funds include: 
  • General Fund: $ 60,025,304 
  • Special Revenue Funds: 8,676,977 
  • Debt Service Fund: 3,585,898 
  • Capital Project Fund: 10,266,502  
  • Solid Waste Fund: 3,273,323 
  • Risk Management Fund: 1,116,200 
The budget is based upon the city keeping its millage rate at 5.750 mills. The first public hearing and reading of the proposed budget will take place on June 2, followed by a second public hearing and possible council adoption on June 16.
