DataScan To Open At Alpharetta City Center
DataScan's new offices are expected to be up and running by early 2018.
ALPHARETTA, GA -- DataScan has officially announced that it will move its headquarters to the burgeoning Alpharetta City Center, a 26-acre mixed-use town center currently being developed along Main Street in the central business district.
DataScan will occupy all of the office space -- about 36,000 square feet -- in a four-story, 46,000-square-foot building.
This building will also include 7,500 square feet of ground-level space dedicated to retail uses. The historical architecture of the building will be unique to the other proposed new buildings to seamlessly complement the existing downtown. Construction is already underway, and the building is schedule to be completed in early 2018.

“We at DataScan, along with our parent companies World Omni Financial Corp. and JM Family Enterprises, have been eagerly anticipating this move,” said Ed Brown, president of DataScan. “DataScan’s investment in the City Center is further evidence of our commitment to Alpharetta. We appreciate the meaningful work being done by the City to strengthen its appeal to the technology sector, and we anticipate this new development will be a catalyst for continued growth and energy.”
The development team of MidCity Real Estate Partners, Morris & Fellows, and South City Partners earlier this month completed the purchase of six tracts of land that will include office, retail, restaurants and luxury apartments.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held March 23 to commemorate the second phase of the Alpharetta City Center development.
“We could not be more pleased to secure DataScan for all of the office space,” said Kirk Demetrops, President of MidCity. “Leading companies today are recognizing the value of being located in an energized and walkable mixed use environment. In addition, companies want open and collaborative floor plans. This building at Alpharetta City Center provides all of these components.”
DataScan’s new facility, complete with its own medical clinic for associates, will better align with the company’s spirit of innovation and steadfast approach to work-life balance, while providing a strategic advantage when attracting new technology talent. Located in heart of Alpharetta, the new headquarters will also enable DataScan to strengthen its philanthropic outreach and cement its ties to the community at large.
DataScan employs more than 500 full-time associates across North America, approximately 150 of whom will call the new headquarters home. Several contractors will also work out of this space.
