Three winners were drawn Dec. 17 in the Downtown Alpharetta Trade Association’s first annual holiday promotion sponsored by the (CVB) and First Citizens Bank.
Elfaretta plush toys were hidden in 33 downtown Alpharetta businesses beginning Nov. 1 and shoppers were encouraged to find them and enter to win one of three prize giveaways.
Responsible for some of the 152 entries were contestants Hannah Manhoff and Skylar Williams, both of Alpharetta, who braved the chilly weather to come out and see if they had won. Amazingly, Hannah’s name was the first to be drawn from Santa’s sack. She won a gift collection from nine of the downtown merchants valued at nearly $350. Cham Meredith of Atlanta and Natalie Semanson of Cumming were also winners
“The Elfaretta promotion was new this year and was a huge success in attracting more shoppers to our downtown area,” says Janet Rodgers, president and CEO of the Alpharetta CVB. “We would like to thank the Downtown Alpharetta Trade Association (DATA), First Citizens Bank and the downtown merchants for all of their hard work, making it a fun promotion for everyone.”
Richard Debban, president of DATA, said, “We would like to express our appreciation to the downtown businesses for their enthusiastic support of this program. The DATA board looks forward to bringing Elfaretta back again next year and driving even more holiday shoppers to downtown Alpharetta.”
