Sweet Gifts For Teachers That Wont Break The Bank

Wednesday is National Teacher's Day and the schools are celebrating by honoring their teachers. Students are being asked to do various nice gestures for their teachers that range from making a card to bringing in a flower to create a large floral arrangement. Most have one day this week where kids can choose what they bring in to their teacher to show their gratitude. If you are at a loss for what to send in, here are a few ideas for you.

Baked goodies are always a hit. To avoid any worry over the rules regarding home baked versus store bought treats, head on over to the bakery. Shoppers can buy sweet  bite sized petit fours, decorated brownies, tiny cupcakes or other delicious treats at the bakery. They will box these up in a small bakery box and it will only cost a few dollars.

Teachers always seem to have drinks with them. The has some cute coffee mugs. Being that it is almost summer, consider taller iced drink cups with lids and straws. There is a wide selection of these at . Shoppers can get these with teachers initials on them, with favorite sports teams, cute sayings and in several colors.

Small gift cards are also appreciated. Students can get them at places like , , the movie theaters, or even a fast food place. Teachers are always busy and on the go.

Kids can be resourceful and make gifts for their teachers using items they have at home. Fishing line and beads make cute bracelets and necklaces. Parents can help children make dough creations using flour, salt and water. This makes a clay like substance that can be molded and then painted if desired. Children can use paper and make a pretty picture or even paint a rock for their teachers to use as a paper weight.

Our children's teachers work hard every day with our kids  and they are creating memories with them. This is the week to show our appreciation. Using any of these ideas mentioned will ensure that your child's teacher knows you are thankful but without you having to spend a fortune to do it.
