BURGLARY / CRIMINAL TRESPASS
- An officer responded to River Mill Apartments, 199 Stone Mill Run, to a complaint of vandalism. The courtesy officer discovered paint had been splashed on the leasing office door and had been spilled in a hallway and on a stairway. They followed shoe prints made from someone stepping in the paint to one of the apartments. Contact was made with the residents and they were questioned. A check of the dumpsters revealed two cans of brown paint. Investigation revealed the paint had been stolen from a storage unit owned by Ram Construction of Cumming, a company working at the complex. A witness advised he saw a white male, around 5’10”, 160 to 170 pounds, wearing a dark in color hoodie and jeans at the office around 9:30 pm. He said it appeared the male was pouring paint down a drain. When the male saw him, he walked away. A suspect was gleaned from this information but no contact was made with him. The investigation continues. This occurred between 9 pm March 17 and midnight March 18.
